Activity Counsellors
Summer camp superpower: Leadership
Where else can you spend the summer doing your hobby and inspiring others to love it like you do – and get paid for it? The most common role at summer camp, Activity Counsellors are usually a hybrid role – where you’ll spend a large part of your day teaching your chosen activity alongside general counsellor duties. Most summer camps have an alphabet of 200+ activities you can teach – including gymnastics, soccer, cheer, basketball, swimming, sailing, horseriding, archery, survival, climbing, art, dance, jewellery, rock band, theatre and more. You don’t usually need qualifications to teach an activity at camp (although it will help you to get hired) – just the passion and patience to lead in that activity.
