Best jobs if you want to do a working holiday in Canada

Mountains, lakes, buzzing cities, wildlife, poutine… it’s no surprise that Canada working holiday (IEC) visas are a sell-out each year. Our BUNAC Work Canada team assist you in securing that all important Canadian visa, plus our two different programs - the Essential and Ultimate – give you access to tons of fantastic jobs in amazing locations. Let’s get down to business...

Work Canada Essential

Work in a Canadian city with our Essential Canada. For the duration of your two-year visa, you’ll have access to our job database and resource centres in Toronto and Vancouver. Here are just some of the jobs you could be doing.

Retail work

A customer-facing role that requires a friendly and welcoming person (it’s hard not to be in a good mood when living in Canada). Sound like you? Start looking for your perfect retail job with BUNAC.

Hospitality positions

If you’re a hardworking and customer driven person then a hospitality role may be your best bet. Enhance your skill set by learning to work under pressure and to a high standard. There are plenty of cafés, bars and restaurants that are always on the hunt for international staff!

Administration roles

Fund your new Canadian life with a role that develops your organisational, analytical and other transferrable soft skills. Your office may have four walls, but when your after-work adventures involve hiking, surfing, skiing and cycling... the payoff is worth it.

Work Canada Ultimate

On our Ultimate Canada, we secure a pre-arranged ski or summer season job for you at a world-renowned resort once you have your visa. We have positions in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario, and once your season is over, all the inclusions of the Essential Canada will be waiting for you to use to get a job in the city.

Front of house positions

Wake up every morning in a mountain resort surrounded by dramatic scenery, and prove your commitment and teamwork skills to future employers (and get paid to do so!). There’s a wide variety of front of house positions available, plus wait staff, bartending, front desk representation and more.

Back of house and housekeeping roles

Are you more of a behind the scenes person? You’ll work as a team to make sure the resort runs smoothly, often with more social hours (AKA, more time for skiing!). We have heaps of positions available, including food preparation, kitchen porters, room attendants and housekeeping.

Ski lift attendants

If you want to work on the mountain (skis or no skis), then a ski lift attendant role may be perfect for you. Make your office view the slopes and get ready to face some problem-solving challenges in this rewarding and social role.
