The twelve month Work in Ireland program is an excellent choice for independent Americans aged 18-30 who want to work in the Republic of Ireland for up to 12 months.

How the program works
You will apply for a Working Holiday Authorisation directly via the Irish Embassy and BUNAC will provide assistance with the application process. Participants must book a flight to Dublin as this is the location of the arrival orientation where you will complete the required paperwork to register with the Garda National. Orientations are held on average three times a week and last about one and a half hours.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the Working Holiday Authorisation, you must meet the following criteria:

You must be aged between 18 and 30 (inclusive). If you turn 31 during your time in Ireland, you must leave Ireland which means you will not be able to utilize the full duration of your 12 month visa.

You must have a US passport valid for at least three months after your intended departure from Ireland.

You must be a current full-time student at an accredited US university or college or have graduated within the last 12 months.

You must not have previously been issued an Irish Working Holiday Visa

You must declare any criminal convictions - some will result in ineligibility.

You must provide evidence, such as a recent bank statement, of sufficient funds to support yourself in the amount of $4,500
